ABSTRACT :
In the context of the recent economic development & rapid changes in the economy
SME become of great importance in economics of many countries in the world, not only
because they provide jobs, but because the are fed large industries needs.
UAE is one of the most important countries in the region that interested in small projects
of concern to young people and develop their talents and provide them with jobs and
good investments, have been established many funds and institutions in support of youth
projects.
The way how to manage SME contribute to the project’s success failure, and reasons for
the failure based on to some extent they have appropriate mechanisms for the project
sustainability and most of these SMEs lack the main basic elements of management.
The college of Business Administration at AUST Network – Fujairah Campus would like
to organize an approach seminar in collaboration with the (Chamber of Commerce and
Industry of Fujairah) and the (Kalifa fund to support young people), which will focus on the
successful experiences in this area.
During this approach seminar we will learn from experts in the field of SME many topics
such as:
yy Identify the types of projects and the characteristics of SME & conduct a feasibility
study.
- Discuss the strengths and weaknesses of established small projects.
- SME selection process & Management.
- Propose solutions to some of the problem facing small business.
