CBA  Strategic Advisory Board Holds Spring Meeting

The CBA Strategic Advisory Board  held its first meeting of AY2020-2021 via zoom on Thursday April 8th 2021. The meeting was chaired by CBA Dean Prof. Akinola Fadahunsi and attended by 11 board member including Mr. Ahmed Abuljobain, COO Nobles Holding, Virginia, USA, Ms. Soukaina Ben Bihi, Head of Public Relations and Partnerships at the Federal Youth Authoority, Dubai, Dr Raja Sekhar Gujju, CEO of Anglo Arabian Healthcare, Dr Chuloh Jung, Director of Ajman University Innovation Center, Prof. Dipak Jain, President (European) of the China Europe International Business School, Mr. Mujtuba Khan, Director of Decision Management Consultants in Dubai,  Ms. Rachel Panaino, Executive Director of the UN Global Compact Network (UAE), and Mr. Fazal Rahim, Vice President and Head of Sharia Control at Ajman Bank. Also actively contributing to the meeting were student board members Ali Shafey (Graduate) and Karen Zakaria (undergraduate).

Following Dean Fadahunsi’s welcome remarks, the board members reviewed and approved a set of operating bylaws for the board. They then engaged in a series of candid and constructive discussions and offered insights and ideas on several issues connected  to the college’s strategic priorities including the need for the college to develop its own brand identity and social media presence as a way of improving the market visibility of CBA. The board members identified several possible local and international partners with whom CBA could establish linkages with including organizations that board members were affiliated with. The board members also suggested several practical steps with which to strengthen CBA’s internship program, improve alumni relations, and other related matters. The Dean thanked the members at the end of the meeting and promised to report back to board members ahead of the next scheduled meeting on the outcomes of the next steps agreed on at the spring meeting.
